In early 2008 the decision was made to fully restore the water wheel. Following advice for the Midlands Mills Group and looking at suitable materials, we decided to convert the timber buckets to steel.

In May 2008 Court Engineering a local steel fabrication company produced the 48 buckets with water and fixing holes cut out.

It took 4 long days to install all the buckets and now the water wheel is back in use.
