On the Stone floor there are four pairs of stones, two being Derbyshire grit stones and two French Burr stones. We currently grind flour on one of the French Burrs stones but hope in the near future to have another stone turning.

 

A new stone hoist has been installed to allow easy clearing and dressing of the stones.

 

A dressing machine is located on the opposite side of the floor, this is currently under restoration. This machine would be used to clean the flour prior to it being bagged.
