Sack Hoist

The Garner floor is located on the second floor, this is where the grain would have been kept in open bins, existing shoots are still here today to show how many bins the mill had.

 

The miller’s access was via a gantry which the sack hoist is located on (see top photo to the right).

 

Due to space and hygiene an enclosed bin has been created between the garner floor and the gantry floor. Other farming machinery are on view in the display areas on this floor.
